Features to know about

Stable Handling on Every Mile: Frame-Mounted Tie-Downs

These custom frame-mounted tie-downs keep your truck camper steady and secure no matter how far you travel. By bolting directly to the frame, they distribute camper weight evenly and lower the center of gravity. That means less sway in strong winds, better handling through turns, and a more comfortable ride overall. The design avoids a top-heavy setup, so your camper stays put, and your truck drives just like it should.

Install Without Drilling: Custom-Fit Mounting

Getting these tie-downs on your truck is simple because they use pre-existing holes in the frame—no cutting, drilling, or major tools needed. The bolt-on design mounts tight to the frame with minimal loss of ground clearance, keeping everything tucked up and out of the way. Since they’re custom fit, you get a clean installation that works with your setup right out of the box.

Keep Your Truck Looking Clean: Low-Profile Design

When you’re not hauling your camper, you can remove the tie-down arms so only the brackets remain—and those are barely visible. The frame-mounted position keeps them hidden under the body, preserving your truck’s look while still being ready whenever it’s time to load up again.

Built for Real-World Use: Powder-Coated Steel Construction

Constructed from strong steel with a high-impact powder coat finish, these tie-downs are built to handle long hauls and rough conditions without rusting or weakening. The finish adds an extra layer of protection against weather and road debris, so they hold up season after season.

Easy Camper Connection: Adjustable Anchor Points

Each arm offers two pin holes for adjustable extension, giving you room to clear fenders or sidewalls and line up your turnbuckles just right. With two anchor holes in each attachment plate, you can position your turnbuckles for the best angle to hold your camper steady from multiple directions. Turnbuckles are sold separately, but once tightened to the proper tension, your setup stays solid and secure.

Video Transcript for Checking Out the TorkLift Tie Downs-TL22NR

Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at these Torklift rear camper tie downs. These tie downs provide the attachment points at the rear of your truck bed so that you can secure your truck camper's turn buckles. The front tie downs are gonna be required, but they are sold separately, but you will need all four so that you can have those tie down points at all four corners. Your turn buckles that secure your camper to the tie downs are also sold separately. You probably already have them for your camper, but if not, you will need to pick some up.

Now these are going to work with lots of different vehicles. They're gonna fit several different years, and package setups for the Chevrolet, Ford, GMC, Nissan, Ram, and Toyota, models that you see on the screen there. So because this does work with so many different options, it's hard for me to really pinpoint, fine tune that for you. So I would encourage you to use our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer.com so you can select your year, make, and model, and then we'll walk you through as how to identify and make sure that this component is gonna work for your vehicle. So be sure to use that vehicle fit guide, but this is going to have these frame mounted brackets that use pre-existing holes in your vehicle's frame.

So there's very little, if any drilling required. They do include very detailed instructions to make sure that you're getting them installed properly, as well as the installation hardware that you're gonna need. And because these are mounted to your truck's frame, there's gonna be very minimal loss of ground clearance, if any. So it is gonna sit nice and tight up against your frame, and securing to the truck's frame is also going to ensure more stability. So being down there on the base of your truck rather than up on your bed rails is going to help create a lower center of gravity, make it less top heavy.

So it's gonna be a lot more stable for you than if you we're to have it attached higher up. So it's gonna be less vulnerable to, say, strong winds and sway, and that sort of thing. One of the really nice things about this Torklift design is that unlike some of your other options where you have a bracket that's permanently mounted where it's gonna be visible, it kinda takes away from the look of your truck when you don't have your camper in there. These you can just remove the arms because these do sit against your frame. They're gonna be right there on the bottom of your truck so they're virtually invisible when you have the arms taken out.

So you won't be seeing them or they're not gonna take away from the look of your truck. But then when you're ready to put your camper in and just simply slide these in, and you'll be ready to go. So there are two different holes here on the arms to accommodate different widths of your camper. So if you have a wider camper, you can just slide it into that first hole there, and then use the included pin to secure those arms to your brackets. This whole setup is made here in the USA of a very durable steel construction so it is gonna hold up really well for you. It also has this black powder coat finish as you can see so it will resist rust and corrosion. This kit does come with a limited, or sorry, a lifetime warranty. So if you we're to have any issues with it, you're more than welcome to reach out to us here at etrailer.com. But overall, I think this is gonna be a great way to make sure that your camper is securely connected to your truck. Giving you a very easy way of getting these mounted, and having that ability to remove those arms, take away any unsightly brackets being installed when your truck is being used for other purposes. So that completes our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.

While the original front frame mounted tie downs were the wrong part, etrailer made it right with a full refund even after I had installed them due to their error. The Torklift fast guns work as advertised. They were easy to assemble and are easy to use. The locks provided by Torklift work as advertised. I have purchased the frame-mounted tie downs for another pickup and they installed perfectly. I would highly recommend the Torklift products.

These camper tie downs are a bit spendy for what you are getting. That is the negative. On the positive side these tiedowns fit perfectly, and need no modifications, or hole expanding of any kind on this same shop day I also installed an airbag suspension. The airbag system( a different manufacture) had to have bend angles adjusted to allow the parts to fit as they should have. So, high marks for the TorkLift kit.

I went on trailer to get tie downs for my 2025 ram 3500. So many options so I called just to make sure I was getting the right ones , Joy helped me and it turned out I had the right ones but just knowing she was the professional took the stress out of the purchasing experience. The tie downs fit like a glove and took about two hours to install all 4 of them. The emergency brake was a pain but well worth the money I saved by having a shop install them. Thank you Joy for the peace of mind and also to all who packed the right parts in the boxes. Great job etrailer team!

We have an Artic Fox camper on a F350 and both the tie downs the Fast Gun Turnbuckle are working flawlessly. They allow the camper to be securely fastened to the truck while allowing the camper to be offloaded with ease

by:

I am a bit disappointed because the rear TorkLift tie down that you sent me was not what I ordered. You sent me the part for a Dodge Ram 350 not for 2022 Ford F250 diesel. The front tie down is the right part. I'm waiting for the returning label to be emailed to me to be able to send it back to you, and get the rear tie downs that I've ordered for 2022 F250 . Thank you!

by:

Great customer service Nichole was very helpful, had these on in 30 minutes so easy Ram 2018 3500 thanks again!

by:

My order arrived quickly and it appears to be good quality. The installation instructions are easy to follow.

by:

To start, e-trailer has always been good to me and I have purchased from them many times. This product is well built and for that they would get high marks. The packaging was terrible! Heavy metal parts not adequately wrapped, thus one of arms punctured through the box. The plastic bag inside holding all parts is not adequately sealed (just a pinch seal like a ziplock bag) thus it opened up spilling contents all through the inside of box. When I went to pick it up from delivery, contents were spilling out all over. I photographed and notified e-trailer. I’d suggest better packaging and use box tape to seal the hardware bag.

by:

Front brackets difficult to install but doable. Works great.

by:

They were easy to install, and it only took me about an hour and half to do it. A big Plus then you move the tie down bracket you can't see the frame brackets.

by:

Great product! Fits perfect to the frame and very good quality materials. Even fit perfectly with my rock sliders.

by:

Great product. Fit is tight and holes all lined up. Fronts went on really fast. Rear brackets required drilling for my application. Brackets are sturdy and solid. All welds looked great. Definitely recommend this product.

by:

Fairly easy installation. Good instructions, but it helps to watch one of the YouTube videos first. With just the receivers, you can hardly even see them, they’re tucked underneath so well. Very sturdy. I feel very confident that no matter what, these babies will hold. They’re pricy, but well worth it.

by:

Product arrived quickly and install was simple with supplied parts, instructions and tools.

by:

Great experience. The man that took the order was very familiar with the Torklift Tie Downs and was able to answer all my questions.

by:

With the exception of removing the emergency brake lines. I could have done this job of mounting the front and rear mounts in under two hours, instead of three. Excellent design and looks great!

by:

This is the only way the tie downs fit is this a safe way to strap it down

by:

Absolutely fit like a glove on our Ram truck. Disconnecting the emg. break was a challenge only because the tension nut was rusted. Other than that install was a breeze.

by:

Order the kit. This is the second set I have ordered in the last few months. etrailer ships fast and makes sure you can track your shipments. Also notifies you every step of the way. I appreciate the follow through with keeping me informed at when my package will arrive. I tried to buy these direct from the manufacture but they wanted more than etrailer and I had to find back and front sets. They did not sell them in kits.

Also glad the etrailer doesn't play the game of shipping in the lower 48 states only BS, there are 50 official states ins the USA (51 if your counting Alberta)! Plus numerous US territories...

Second set of Torklift camper tiedown brackets I have purchased. 1999 Dodge 2500 and 2016 Ram 3500. Fit good. No drilling. I would buy again. Good product. (I am a certified ASME, AWS, API, welder and fabricator). No hype, just fact.

by:

Not a good experience so far. Torklift product was defective and they sent the wrong size bolt fish wires. Took 3x as long to install as should have due to wrong size fish wires. Torklift is not very responsive on the solution to the defective part. Torklift did not drill one of the holes in the tie downs

by:

After selling previous truck camper and getting a new truck these tie downs are outstanding. The direct fit for year make model is awesome. Takes the guess work out installation. The install instructions were really good as well as etrailers videos. etrailer is the great providing product install walk thru. The adjustability of these tie downs made my life easier when I picked up my new TLRV 8 foot truck camper.

by:

Absolutely the only way to correctly attach your truck camper. Pair these white Fastguns and it’s a great combo. I just went on a 5000 mile trip with my TC and never moved an inch.

by:

I did a lot of research to find the right kind of frame mounts for my dads truck. Lots of local RV places didn't even know what I was looking for, or quoted me for the wrong parts. After I was certain I found the right tie downs, I contacted etrailer customer service chat representative and they were a great help at confirming the parts I found would in fact fit my dads truck. My husband and dad installed them in less than 2 hours. The parts came quickly and in excellent packaging/condition.

by:

I ordered this kit for my 2018 Ford F150 'Heavy Half' regular cab, long bed pickup. The tie downs came with all the necessary hardware, good instructions, were easy to install with basic tools, and required no drilling. Shipping was very fast. I would absolutely recommend TorkLift tie downs and etrailer.com.
